Is Muzan defeated?

Everyone can expect this, but defeating Muzan and ending the story was the simplest way to end the manga's final.

Kibutsuji Muzan entrusts his will to Kamado Tanjiro

In fact, before his death, Kibutsuji Muzan remembered what Ubuyashiki Kagaya had said: "Human wills are immortal". The body ends when it disappears, but thoughts are passed on to the future through people. Muzan was moved to tears when he faces this truth.

So Muzan decided Tanjiro to have his "cell". Tanjiro was also in the mortally wounded state after the battle with Muzan.

After taken in Muzan's cells, Tanjiro becomes a demon by forcefully. And just as Muzan had calculated, As Tanjiro is the user of the breathing of the sun, he became the strongest demon who has overcome even sunlight.

Still, Muzan cannot completely take over the mind of Tanjiro. Tanjiro resisted, saying, "I don't want the life of Muzan, not even a little bit. On the other hand, Muzan said, "Many have died, and you're the only one to survive? Are you the only one who will survive without losing anything?. Muzan desperately tries to brainwash Tanjiro.

Tanjiro's mind begins to be taken over by Muzan. Then, souls of the pillars who were cruelly killed by Muzan supported Tanjiro. In the end, his sister, Kamado Nezuko, takes up her brother's hand.

Unable to do anything about Tanjiro's determination, Muzan said

Tanjiro wait! Wait, wait, please! My will! Carry my will! and pleaded desperately.

Finally, Muzan died, not only his body but also his spirit.

This episode proved that one's will and thoughts cannot be changed overnight. Our will and feelings can be passed on by the relationships and trusts that we have built up. Person’s will won't be passed down just as ordered.

What happened to the surviving pillars and characters?

What happened to the life of the demon slayers and the pillars after defeating Muzan?

As Tanjiro has become a demon once, his hands are so disfigured that he could no longer move them. He lost the sight in his right eye and has wounds all over his body. Nevertheless, his younger sister, Nezuko, is still alive and well.

Yushiro said that It was fortunate that Tanjiro had bitten his sister first after he became a demon because Nezuko was immune to Muzan cells. This was because, having returned to human form, Nezuko was immune to the Muzan cells. Tanjiro was able to become a human again thanks to the cells he took in. He was also injected with a humanizing drug by Kanao Tsuyuri.

It can be anticipated that the ending of the final episode of the Demon Slayer was planned for a long time ago.

Later on, in a world where Kibutsuji Muzan was no longer around, Kiriya Ubuyashiki disbanded the Demon Slayer Corps. He bowed his head in gratitude to Giyu Tomioka and Sanemi Shinazugawa, but they replied, "There is no need to thank us”.

“Thanks to the efforts of the Ubuyashiki family, the Demon Slayer Corps was able to complete its mission," Tomioka Giyu said, this time expressing his gratitude to Kiriya Ubuyashiki . Will there be a second part of Demon Slayer?​

Episode 205 was the last, and it was complete. When it comes to popular comics, publishing companies and authors usually continue the manga in favor of more sales. But, it is always the author who decides when to end. I can say Demon Slayer ended in perfectly good length.

There is no second part or next series of Demon Slayer. Did Higanbana(blue flower) really prevent demonization? Isn't there a new enemy?

But Kibutsuji Muzan was the final boss, and the story ended perfectly.

The story of the descendants of Kamado Tanjiro

The "modern day version" that was expected in the second part is showed in the final episode. The secret of the blue higanbana will also be revealed in the final episode.

First of all, the descendants of Kamado Tanjiro appear in the modern version. Specifically, they are "Kamado Sumihiko" and "Kamado Kanata". From their names, it is clear that Tanjiro and Kanao were later married.

In fact, the color of Kamado Kanata's eyes is exactly the same as those of Kanao. Sumihiko Kamado has impatiant personality and has very good physical abilities. He was described as someone who runs around town.

Agatsuma Zenitsu's descendants were brother and sister of Agatsuma Yoshiteru and Agatsuma Toko.

Apparently, Agatsuma Zenitsu and Kamado Nezuko eventually married. The older sister, Toko, seems to have an exceptionally competitive personality, but other than that, gentle as Nezuko.

It seems that after the battle with Muzan, Agatsuma Zenitsu wrote a book about the Battle of Muzan, which his descendant, Yoshiteru, devoured.

Is this how history is passed on? It seems, Agatsuma Zenitsu's talent as a novelist blossomed.

He also told his sister that people who lost their lives fighting demons for peace are reincarnated and living happily ever after.

Aoba Hashibira, Inosuke's descendant, is immensely good looking. Aoba had grown up as a researcher. His personality is similar to Inosuke's in that he has a calm personality and yearns for country life. Eventually, he discovered Blue Higanbana.

In fact, the reason why Muzan never found Blue Higanbana was that they bloom only in the daytime a few days a year. Maybe, if Muzan had a human under his command, he may have found it...

In the last episode, on the wall of the Kamado family's house, there was an old photo. Unfortunately, only the survivors of the disastrous battle were in the photo. And as you can see Agatsuma Zenitsu is trying to get close to Kamado Nezuko.

Afterward, we can read from the manga that after the battle Kamado Tanjiro and Agatsuma Zenitsu and others lived a peaceful life.
